My kids 3, 7 & 9 loved this set right out of the packaging
I purchased this for my 3 year old, but the package came while he was sleeping so my 7 & 9 year old got to playing with them right away and really enjoyed everything. A couple of the bells on the "wrist bells" came off as some others have mentioned, but we will figure out a solution so that isn't a problem in the future. Also I was surprised at the very small size of the maracas - I guess I didn't look at the picture well enough to see how very small they are (about the size of the egg shakers). Over all this is a good set for the price paid.
