Here is what you need to know about this product: The manual is worthless. 1. You need to have a set of video connector cables with three male plugs on both ends to connect. The extra usb cable is superfluous. I do not know what it is for. 2. Connect to the output jacks of your vcr. 3. My computer was accepting the TV/video audio but my internal webcam video NOT the VHS video. Once I disabled my webcam in device manager (imaging devices Win7) it worked fine and the quality is very good. 4. There is no support to speak of and many names like "Video Capture" on the dvd install disc, ""converter" here and others. My install disc would not load but the link sent by Little World worked fine to get the software. Got my VHS tapes transferred to digital files in no time but took me days to correct the issues in connection and software. The "DVD converter" in the name is misleading. You do not need to make a DVD. You can simply drag the file to your desktop and play it using HDMI or other.
