She fell asleep with it in her mouth! And here are some treats to use with it
I agree with all the positive reviews. What can I say? My dog spent so much time trying to get at the treat I put inside, she fell asleep with it in her mouth! Photographic proof attached to this review. Need I say more?
I know I would have appreciated some advice on what treats slide into this toy well so let me help you out. I have found these work well:
Jack&Pup 6" Joint Health Support Sticks Dog Treat Chews (25 Pack) - Fresh and Savory Beef Gullet Sticks - Naturally Rich in Glucosamine and Chondroitin - Promotes Healthy Joints and Tissue Growth but you'll want to take a good pair of scissors and cut a little bit off so it doesn't stick out. Too easy for them to just pull it out.
SmartSticks Rawhide-Free Dog Chew, Vegetable and Chicken Dog Chews - I get mixed results with these. They usually work but there are always some in the package that slide out too easily. The dog can bounce the toy around and it will slide out. I still buy them just to give her some variety.
I did not experience the toy breaking up like a few others have but that's always a risk you take. Dogs are different. Keep an eye on yours when you first use it and you'll know if this one was a hit or a bust. Hope that helps!
