Ok so we have had 3 I robots the 650 770 and 880. The 980 and every Roomba product are well worth it! We have had 0 issues other than it getting stuck every once and a while! It vaccumes goes back home and then goes back out! We have never had any major issues! We have only replaced the battery on our 650 due to our needs of over 1 hour of vacuuming after owning it for 2 years! Update: 11/25/17 Pros/cons after one year of use! Pros: Uses a more predictable and efficient back and forth cleaning pattern Wifi connectivity ditches the remote control Lithium ion battery will have a longer service life compared to the NiCad equipped 800 and 700 series Lighthouses aren’t as bulky and uses cheaper AA batteries Has HEPA filtration Cons: Very expensive – around $200 more than the Roomba 880 Did not exceed the cleaning performance of the 880 despite the upgrades Gets the same amount of dirt per bin but is more smart about the way it goes about things without missing stops!
