Greg Iles is one of my favorites. All of his books are page turners, and if you decide to undertake reading an Iles novel, plan on getting nothing done until you are done reading. After the last Penn Cage trilogy, I wondered how this author could ever top such an awe aspiring saga and he for sure delivered. It is frustrating that others found the plot overshadowed by politics. The mention of Trump and the current political climate is so incremental compared to the nail-biting, non-stop tension and drama. If you could let such a small matter deter from such an enjoyable read, well, the only term that comes to mind is...snowflake.
