Awesome but Stanky. Found a recipe that works
I love this stuff. I love that it's not clay. I love that it biodegrades, but I can't stand the smell of cat urine or cat poo, and this stuff does not hide it.
But I found something that works. After using a clay based product like Precious Cat which did much better with hiding the stanky-stank, I had to buy some World's Best and mixed the two. This proved to be actually a really good mix. I got the clumping power and mileage out of World's Best, but I got the scent power of Precious Cat. To top it off, World's Best released an add-on Pine based product to help the faults in the basic cat litter.
My cat's litter box now contains this strata:
Bottom: World Best Cat Litter fancy add-on pine based litter product.
Middle: Litter Purrfect (highly recommended clay based stuff available at Costco). A light lemongrass scent
Top: World's Best Cat litter.
I get a fraction of the mess with clay based litter, the clumping power and duration of World's Best, and the scent power of the pine stuff and clay stuff.
I am the kitty litter alchemist. While I realize this post sounds absolutely ridiculous, I live in a small room with my litter box in my closet, and not smelling Bea's mess when I'm trying to go to sleep is highly important to me. This combination works, and I am really happy with it. If you're having trouble with World's Best because of stink, try adding in a good quality clay based product in the mix. I have a feeling you'll like it.
