It felt pretty good cutting with this. It definitely feels well balanced letting the blade do the work. I like that it is a full blade and not like other knives with the square bolster near the heal of the blade. Nothing but edge from end to end. It doesn't have the cool pattern that is advertised in the ad, but mostly a plain-looking blade (see image). It comes in a nice box. The box is cardboard, but the inside is lined with felt and there is a magnetized flap on the lid so it stays closed. It's definitely going to remain the home for this knife. I feel like I got a really good quality knife for a good price. I also read on their site to not use pull through sharpener/honers, so I also purchased a nice steel honing rod for about $23.
