Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Foot rest is comfy on my feet, and comes with a detachable cushion that adds height if needed. I've completely forgotten my feet don't reach the floor in my chair. Cushion is fairly firm, unless you’re putting a lot of pressure on it, I can’t see it sinking too much. I always use it barefoot so I can’t vouch for how it works with shoes.
