Although my pre-order has yet to arrive, I am certain based on the stellar quality of each Warner Archives Blu-ray release, that I thought it would benefit others here to know what the great cartoon line-up is on this Tex Avery collection of classic cartoons. Red Hot Riding Hood - 1943 Who Killed Who - 1943 What's Buzzin' Buzzard - 1943 Dumb-Hounded - 1943 Batty Baseball - 1944 Screwball Squirrel - 1944 Big Heel-Watha - 1944 The Screwy Truant - 1945 The Hick Chick - 1946 Lonesome Lenny - 1946 Hound Hunters - 1947 Red Hot Rangers - 1947 Bad Luck Blackie - 1949 Wags to Riches - 1949 The Garden Gopher - 1950 The Peachy Cobbler - 1950 The Chump Champ - 1950 Symphony in Slang - 1951 Daredevil Droopy - 1951 I have already read one advance rave online critic review (from a trusted authority) and seen some clips online to know the upgrade here is substantial. I will add additional comments once my disc arrives, but wanted others to know what to expect on this disc. Bring on Vol. 2! UPDATE: I wrote the above about this Tex Avery release before my disc arrived to share my enthusiasm for its impending release, and to let folks who come here to shop know which of Avery’s animated shorts are included, I was confident based on what I had heard up to that point (and my overall excellent experiences with the Blu-ray releases from Warner Archives releases), that this release would be a winner on all counts. I received my disc from Amazon (happily) only 2 days after the release date, and I’m beyond pleased to say that this incredible disc exceeded my already high expectations. It is gorgeous. Immaculate restoration work has removed any film damage, so that all you see is what Tex and his crew put on the big screen originally. Beautiful, sharp, perfect color, fine sound, and a beautiful presentation. I have read that WB will continue releasing additional volumes as they proceed with finding the best available sources to use for restoration. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
