I could never find an acne product that can dry up the oil and clear my pores. I always use Step 1 while in the shower. The trick is to use the hot water and steam to open your pores and "loosen/melt" the oil on your face so it can rinse off. I use a flexible rubber face brush with the Step 1 soap. It smells really good to me and leaves my face feeling oh so smooth and a cool minty feeling. I can see when my individual pores actually open. Step 2 does burn a bit because it then goes into your pores to kill the bacteria, but it does work, so I bear it. It tightens my skin back and ends up drying the skin. That is fine, because Step 3, the moisturizer quenches and also tingles my face a bit. It's takes a while for the face to absorb in though. If you plan on running out of the house right after, delay that for about 20 minutes or else people will notice. I hope this was helpful in your decision of this product. But seriously, the product really works. I've wasted so much money (and of course time!) trying other brands to cure my oily skin and acne, but this Clean & Clear 3-Step was the miracle! I purchased this for $8.99 on December 24th and tried it out for a bit before I left a thorough review. I hope you all try this out and have a wonderful experience with the treatment. Go ahead and pamper yourself! 😊 P.S. I left a picture of how each step looks on cotton pads. Step 1 is a thick orange gel, Step 2 is a Pink watery astringent, Step 3 is a thin moisturizer.
