I was waiting and waiting for the newer version of this case to come out. When it finally did, it only came out in black and it wouldn't be in stock for another few weeks. I wanted a case ASAP. And I wanted this brand and this style! So, having read previous reviews that said it does work for 5th gen iPad Pros, I bought this older version/model of this case because for me, it was more important to get it quickly and in a color other than black. As others have stated, the only issue with this older model case is that it covers some of the audio holes (see photos). For me, it isn't a big deal. In my opinion, the audio still works just fine. Other than that, all the button locations and everything else is spot-on. I'm glad I got this older version of the case rather than waiting for their newer version to be in stock. I'm very happy with the quality of the case. Truth be told, I'm picky and I am always willing to pay more for better quality. This case did not disappoint one bit. I searched a ton and looked at several other models from other brands that were similar. I almost went with a different brand, but the strong magnets of this one and the fact that it is strong enough to be put on a refrigerator is what sold it to me - this will be helpful if you are video-chatting with someone while cooking, watching a video while keeping busy, or looking at a recipe on your ipad as you cook. The other selling point for me was that it has that little elastic pencil holder in the back and my Apple pencil won't be continuously "charging". I know some people say it stops charging when it's at 100%, but I'd rather not keep it in the charging position, so that little pocket in the back is valuable to me. I can't recommend this case enough!
