The blue plastic sleeve on this bit holder holds a powerful magnet that holds your screw on the bit so you can drive the screw in one handed without a pilot hole. I don't know how long the sleeve and magnet will hold up over time, but so far no problems. In the picture the screw is spinning at full speed without coming off the bit (the impact driver is rated at 2650 rpm) The holder also works without the sleeve (no magnet though). This holder was two dollars more than the standard bit holder from DeWALT or Milwaukee at the Home Improvement Store.To me, it is well worth the extra two bucks. The bit did have a little movement in this holder while my DeWALT bit holder has zero movement. On the other hand, I can usually remove the bit from this Makita holder by hand and I always need pliers to remove the bit from the DeWALT. On a side note, torx screws work a lot better than phillips head screws. I know that's common knowledge, but I showed a phillips is the picture. You need a much steadier hand to set the phillips one handed.
