This is a great product. Yeah, its a brown powder and can be messy, but it does what it says. In less than a week of brushing with it and packing my gum (using the retainer) I feel a big difference.The areas of deep pockets feel stronger, less tender. 'll know more after I visit the periodontist, but experientially, I'd say this is working. Doesn't stain my teeth, nor my retainer. The taste doesn't bother me, but I'm used to Chinese herbs and herbal remedies. Update : After 6 weeks of use, coupled with Under Gum Irrigant, the gum pockets which measured 6 and 7 shrank back to 2 and 3, sparing me gum surgery and saving me $700!!!!
