I haveto give it all 5 Stars
Several years ago I went to Office Depot to buy a color laser because I print a lot of legal and color Exhibits. My friend at Office Depot said stay away from lasers and go with the new easy on ink HP Officejet 8500. He was so right. That printer is still in my son's house after I wore it out for 4 years. Then I bought the Office Jet Pro 8600 for $149.00 on closeout at Best Buy. That one worked fine and still does, but it only had one paper tray and it was very inconvenient although a very good printer, and cheap on ink. It is now my daughter's. Friday of last week, I went back to Office Depot to buy a color laser and my friend again talked me out of it and told me to go with the Officejet Pro 8630 because it is loaded with features, and again, he was so right. It works even better than my 8500 which I loved, it is faster, it takes the 950 and 951 ink as does the 8600, so if I run out of ink, I can go get one from my daughter, and it has the double paper trays. It took me 15 minutes to set it up on 4 machines. Both of my Windows 8.1 Desktops, My Windows 8 Laptop, and my Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The other feature I really love is the way it converts scans into PDF. In the legal business, that is a must. I have used it all weekend and printed over a thousand pages an Exhibits and not one jam. HP has also modified the upper document feeder on this machine due to trouble with the 85 and 8600, which makes it much better than the 8500 and 8600. A WELL BUILT SOLID MACHINE! It is just a really solid printer, and I do 3 to 5000 sheets per month. Oh by the way, beware, that the software on the disc will install Google Chrome and all that garbage if you do not uncheck the box. So pay attention when you load the software if you don't want this feature. And buy the way, at under $300.00 it does one hell of a lot more than the $700 all in one laser. Yes it duplexes automatically, and does it well. I just love HP's Printers. As a matter of fact, I still use a 20 year old Laser Jet 5 too.
