What you should know about me: I'm a bit of a makeup addict, especially when it comes to brushes. I'm always on the hunt for the best brush for makeup application. I own brushes ranging from the mid-range such as MAC, Sephora Pro, to some higher end such as Marc Jacob and Makeup Forever. I'm also a fan of certain ELF brands, though my favorite favorite face brushes comes from IT Cosmetics and Tarte. What you should know about BS-Mall and this package: 1. BS-Mall products are made from China and have a STRONG chemical smell to all their brushes that will wash away with soap and water the first time. 2. I purchased this set January 2019. I asked for delayed shipping so I can get a dollar for digital credit from Amazon and it still came within the same week (incredible!). 3. This was purchased for $12.99. No tax was collected, and since I'm a Prime member, it was shipped to me for free. Who/ What I think this would be good for: 1. Travel/ Replacement set: this is a GREAT base set for anyone who is looking to have something in their car, their theater makeup case, at work, etc. and if they were ever stolen, you're out $13. You honestly pay more for one brush at Sephora than you will for this whole set. 2. High school girl who is just starting out or experimenting with makeup: honestly, this will keep her happy for at least a year. I originally purchased two different BS-Mall sets for a colleague's daughter's HS graduation present because I couldn't tell from the pictures which set would be better. The best part of it was she loved the set I decided to get her, and I loved the set I kept for myself (still using). However, there were at least 3 brushes I never use (and will never use) in those sets, and I can honestly say that will NOT happen with this set at all. So for an extra buck, I think it's worth it. 3. Anyone who needs to replace their brushes on a budget: whether it's because they were all stolen, damaged, etc. and you are out of funds, this is a great one for just about your basic needs. What I like about this set more than the other BS-Mall sets: 1. Will use all: I honestly can say I'll use every single brush in this set without exception. I may not LOVE all of them, but I'll have a use for all. I can't say that for any of the four different sets of BS-Mall brushes I've ever purchased. 2. The color: what a gorgeous color. I just hope it lasts through washing! 3. The price point: I'm a high school teacher who purchase sets all the time as presents to my T.A.s and graduating seniors. This WILL be the set I will be giving out this year. No sense in spending more money for brushes that won't do much more than what this will do! 4. One specific big brush: the tapered big brush is a must have for all makeup lovers. Great for overall powder, bronzer or for anyone who loves a huge flush of blush. That brush alone is easily $10 for a drugstore brand. This set will NOT be good for: 1. anyone who wants SUPERIOR quality in their brushes. 2. anyone expecting super DENSE brushes. 3. anyone looking for SPECIALTY brushes: for example, I don't see a brush in here that'll be great for highlighters. I don't use highlighters so I don't care, but lots of people do! I hope you found this review helpful!
