I really put this bug repeller through its paces, and after several weeks, I can assure you that it passed, with flying colors. I am very satisfied. My office space is shared with bed space so that I only have to heat and cool one room. I had a bad habit of letting my clothes pile up, so I had developed a problem with a few flying bugs that enjoyed the pile of clothes. At first, I thought the unit wasn't working because the bug problem did not change in the first 8 hours, so I reported that I got a bad unit, so Amazon sent me a replacement. I discovered that the unit takes a bit of time before it has full effect. The next day, the bug problem seemed worse, but after several days, the problem was severely reduced. For several weeks, I had two units, one near my office desk, the other near the bed. For the last three days, I have had just the unit under the air conditioner (near the bed). My bug problem continues to be severely reduced. I still notice a few, but I put that up to the fact that the repeller does not work on everything and because I have not put one in the living room. This insect repeller is doing a great job. I have returned one unit, as I do not really need two. I highly recommend this unit.
