I bought the whistle because I work in a high school. If there is a student fight we signal with a whistle for backup. Everybody has normal athletic whistle's. They work okay to call for help and pretty good during a game... The HyperWhistle is a game changer. There was a fight on Wednesday. I hit the afterburners to stop it. I blew the whistle when I was about 7 feet and closing from the fighting students. They were so shocked by how LOUD the whistle was they stopped fighting!!! I tried to take both students by the hand to the office. One resisted. I hit the whistle again and got her hand when she went to cover her ears. It came down to they would rather walk quietly to the principal's office than hear me blow the whistle a third time. A discipline referral is better than a hospital referral. ***Jan 28, 2019 I still stand by my original recommendation. I have broken up quite a few fights with it. The students know the sound and it has the recognition that you don't want to be near it. It puts ANY rape whistle to shame. If someone is near you and you don't want them to be this whistle will deliver that message. ***February 1, 2020 My Whistle works great. My principal became a believer and bought one for himself. I was able to catch a fleeing cell phone thief with it yesterday. She attempted to run. When I blew the whistle near her she tripped on her feet and fell on the floor. The sound caught the attention of the school resource officer. Phone and naughty student recovered.
