The assembly wasn't too bad. It comes with tools to put it together, however, if you have them, use your own tools to avoid any frustrations. The seat is uncomfortable, however, I read the reviews and anticipated this problem, but the price of the bike was easily remedied by buying a seat cushion for under $15. It easily accommodates my wife and I, she is 5 Foot tall, and I am 5' 7, and we don't have to adjust the seat height when the other is using it. It has a digital display that tells you how many calories you burned during your session, as well as duration, how many miles traveled, etc. There is also an adjustment for resistance for bigger calorie burning workouts. For us poor folks, this will do, and we are happy with it. Hope this was helpful.
