Hence i have updated my review with information about memory effect The Test – - Power Bank Charging time:- I have RavPower Wall Charger with 2 ports (2.1 Amp and 1.0 Amp) port – o 2.1 Amp port - ~less than 1 hours , 45 min o 1.0 Amp port ~ around ~2.5 hours - Gadget Charging time … Compared to socket charging o Phone – 1. Hour 40 min same time as socket charging o Tablet – 90% o Kindle - o iPhone – 1 hr 30 min - Number of times tested – 1 week till date. Charge the device in morning and Power bank in the evening - Standby time – (Stand By Charging time , this is important since most people use the battery back only during travelling ) o Since this one does not have a clear battery indicator, I charged the battery back to full and did not use for a week (except for checking the battery indicator daily) and battery indicator shows green light (i.e. more than 80%) . I am hoping it would not discharge more than 50% in 2 months . - Battery life - from my past experience – typically these power bank last for 2 years with daily or frequent time (claimed battery life is around 1000 charging cycles ) - Number of USB ports - One The Good - Size – This one feel like a small flash torch and does not feel heavy on pockets - Look and Feel - Has an outer metal cover - Build Quality will not disappoint you and feels good in hand. - Price - For the capacity the price is unbeatable compared to some other products in the market - Automatically starting to charge devices you plug in without a button press make it feel more thoughtfully designed than the competition - Warranty card – if you register will give you an extra 6 months for the warranty for a total of 18 months. - Sub $15 product The Bad or Cons o The battery pack heats while charging itself or other devices o The battery indicator – ' Battery Charge indicator – Press Button with 3 color indicator , not accurate. Have to press the button to check the battery level when not charging ' The color of light indicates the battery indicator in range which doesn’t seem accurate. o Not a user a friendly device, had to read the manual to understand a few things . o Still trying to find a battery pack which can be charged and used for charging at the same time Recommendation o If you are looking for something that you can use on daily basis or just a live saver between two flights . This one certainly one of the top 5 products in the market in this category. *** TIPS to avoid Memory Effect *** When you start using the product use it till the battery drains/use completely and then charge it full in one cycle i.e. without interruption . Do this for atleast first 6 times , this will make sure that battery life is maintained . This effect is very common with cellphones because we charge the phones even if they are 30% or 40% and that is why most cell phone batteries are exhausted in about 2 years .
