For me, I am a girl from Utah and we get heavy snow fall so I needed good, warm, water proof snow boots that I could wear to and from work along with weekend treks out and about, and of course for the occasional shoveling session. This year our snow fall has been extreme and I was desperate to have really good reliable snow boots. After reading endless reviews and looking at many different brands, I came to the conclusion that Sorel brand was the way to go. I am 100% happy with my purchase. They come up to mid-calf, are well lined and cushioned inside. The canvas sides are not stiff (which I find wonderful because I am prone to having shoes and boots rub sores into me) and the boots pull on easily. After much debate I went with my best judgment and purchased my true size (6.5). I have slightly wide feet and was concerned socks may not fit well with them but they fit perfectly. They are not snug or tight but they are not loose either. Yes, they are a bit clunky and large looking, but these are heavy duty snow boots and I feel if you are in the market for just that, then that is what you should expect. I am very excited to wear them out tomorrow and on New Year's Eve with my husband on our date into snowy downtown Salt Lake City! I hope this review helps.
