Lasts long only if you try this trick
So far, so good! At the suggestion of the manufacturer, I put my "everlasting" flavor discs in upside down. I tried putting it in right side up (concavity facing out) first, and my puppy was able to get it out in about 15 minutes.... after that, it took about 5-10 minutes to chew and eat the whole thing, so not super long-lasting if your pup figures it out and has strong jaws. So after turning it with the bump facing down into the ball, he is having a harder time with it and is just licking and scraping the exposed surface (he has had it for about 45 mins today). He is a heavy chewer, and it is extremely hard to find another toy or treat that can entertain him for this long – so I do have to give it high marks with the treat upside-down in the Bento ball. I have to warn you that it is really hard to get the treat inside, either upside down or right side up – this is not for somebody with arthritis or weak hands. Again, as a suggestion from the manufacture, I used a metal spoon to pry the lip while I pushed, and I wet the surface of the treat to make it slide in easier. It still took me about five minutes of struggling, pushing and pulling. I guess it is worth it because if it was easy to put in, it would be easy for the dog to take out.
