I am sorry but I think people exaggerate way too much in reviews. Even people with great reviews mentioned he same thing, the scent of the product. This powder dry and mixed smelled like a box of tea bags. This did NOT have some unbearable smell and I left it on my hair for a little over 5 hours. My review will not show as verified purchase because I place orders I want rushed (with no extra pay) under a friend's account that has Prime. I received my powder the other day and used it this afternoon. I am African American and use no perms or relaxers, I have brown hair with a few honey blonde hilites and it's shoulder length. I have growing hair but for the past few like months to year, my hair has had bad breakage. Everytime I washed my hair, no lie it was so much hair in the sink when done washing. Then even more when I styled my hair. I would always expect bald patches or something to be horrible on the end but nope. Either which way it was horrible to see all that hair coming out my head. Anywho, I did my mix today with just water and again people become so exaggerating saying it's a mess to apply through the hair.it's like a mud, yes it stiffens the hair fast but hey move fast and get it in there. I didn't make a mess whatsoever except for making my right fingers look as if I was playing in mud. I left the mud mask in my hair covered for a little over 5 hours. I then started to wash the product out by using warm, close to hot water (love me some hot water) wetting all of my hair massaging my head in a circular motion but very lightly because some of my hair was stiff due to the dried mud. I then applied my Kerastase conditioner (their conditioner makes my hair feel stupid soft). I let it sit in my hair for about 10 minutes and then used my fingers to part my hair and finger comb it and I swear to you I thought so much hair was gonna come out that way but nope. It was barely any compared to what use to come out. I rinsed my hair and then shampooed with sulfate free Keratin Shampoo (great for my hair). I rinsed out the shampoo and towel dried as much as possible and combed all of my hair down to sit on the towel and air dry. My hair is finishing air drying and it is super soft and with a real comb or my fingers, NO BREAKAGE, not one strand so this stuff definitely strengthened my hair and that what I needed. I feel like using his product, I will now be able to grow all of my hair back and I am excited about this journey. I'm about to get a few more boxes of this. This pack is good for two mixes. I mixed some today and will mix the rest during my next wash. I wash my hair twice a month and once in a blue it is three time a month!!
