So far it seems like a robust container, maybe watertight since there's a rubber gasket. The lid has to be peeled around the perimeter first, which took a bit of effort. And taking the lid off for the first time took quite a bit of effort. I'm glad I made the attempt comfortably at home instead of on the road after an emergency! My container came with 16 packets of food. Most of the packets had an expiration date of 2045 (25 years). The elbow macaroni noodles are good for 30 years, but the lone cheese packet is good for 10 years. Maybe in 10 years, I'll throw a velveeta in here. That having been said... there's two packets of noodles but only one packet of cheese. So you'd have to eat all the noodles when you open the cheese sauce, or get creative. I realized, inside, there's no bowls or utensils or anything... duh! So I have to make sure I can cook this food and serve it later on. The packets themselves won't be suitable for such secondary task. Lastly, one of my food packets had a small puncture. I hope the seller will replace this packet of food or something. So I'll update the review once I've had a chance to eat it! Kind of lucky I'll be forced to try it out before it spoils!
