I’m giving this 4 stars because I love the concept and I think with a few tweaks this could be a can’t-live-without, definite 5-star product. We received this item right before our vacation to Florida. It couldn’t have come at a better time. My husband hates the taste of Florida’s water and I had high hopes that this would be helpful. On the plus side, this is obviously more portable than our Brita pitcher. It was able to filter the water more quickly than anything I have used before. For me the biggest drawback was the size. It was somehow much bigger, bulkier, and heavier than I was expecting. It is not something that I would be willing to tote around with me on a regular basis. While on vacation I attempted to fill the bottle and the filter-bottle combination was too tall to fill and the filter itself lost most of the water if I attempted to fill it then move it over to the bottle. If the filter had a push button release to hold water this would have made it easier to fill the bottle. If you are looking to fill this in a sink with a low faucet or in a drinking fountain, you might think twice as the size made it difficult to fill it anywhere but a sink with a high faucet. Having said that, a push button release to hold the water until ready to fill the bottle/cup would eliminate this trouble! Also, after a few uses my husband felt it was no longer filtering out the chlorine taste from the Florida water. This was more apparent to my husband than it was to me. I’m not sure if there is something wrong with my taste buds or he is just more sensitive, but Florida water has never really bothered me in the first place. To me it has a slightly sulfuric taste which I think the Every Drop did a good job of filtering out. I received this product free from Whirlpool via Chatterbox in exchange for my honest review.
