See my summary below. 1st Place: Epare Salt or Pepper Grinder: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z6NX7D5 - $17.95 2nd Place: Flafster Kitchen Battery Operated Salt and Pepper Grinder Set: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077LPXVPZ - $29.99 3rd Place: Latent Epicure Battery Operated Salt and Pepper Grinder: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MRSRF1X - $20.79 The three above mills were in the same price range and seemed to be of similar popularity on Amazon. I decided to rank each in the categories of material quality, ease of adjusting, grinding mechanism, packaging, and overall misc. features. Material Quality- 1. Epare 2. Flafster 3. Latent Epicure So I will say that the Latent & Flafster models were almost identical other than the grinding mechanism. Other than that they both had kind of flimsy caps and the steel on them did not really look as nice as the Epare one. Ease of Loading & Adjusting- 1. Flafster & Latent Epicure 2. Epare On these points Flafster & Latent were identically the better solutions, their adjustment knob was a bit easier to use and loading them was also much simpler as their container had a larger opening. Grinding Mechanism- 1. Epare 2. Flafster 3. Latent Epicure So I took each grinder and compared them at their most fine setting, then a setting in between, and then in a very coarse setting. I operated at each setting for exactly 10 seconds each, you can see the photos I posted to compare. I think at the end of the day this grinding score is the most important as it is a product that is meant to grind well. The consistency of grind and output speed was much better on the Epare over the other two. The Latent one barely had any output. Both the Latent and Flafster performed very poorly on the most coarse setting, and that is my favorite setting, so Epare is the winner. Packaging- 1. Flafster 2. Epare 3. Latent Epicure The Flafster was packed very well and had the best instructions, then followed by Epare and in last place Latent. You can look at the photos to see how it all looked. Misc- 1. Epare 2. Latent Epicure 3. Flafster So here I wanted to look at the little additional features, like the lights. The Epare one was very nice and bright, the other grinders not so much. Epare & Latent also had some extra support for the batteries, did not see this on Flafster and I guess it's probably quite important.
