Make Them Last Forever With This Simple Trick
I bought these 1 1/2 years ago. I am still using them today. I own a business that is open 6 days a week for 8 hours a day. These are in daily use. But there is a trick to this. If you leave the radios in the charger charging 24/7, the batteries will eventually fail as I've learned in the past with inexpensive radios. Solution: go to Home Depot or Lowes and by a one week timer and a 5-6 unit plug in extension cord. Plug the 5 radios into the extension cord you bought, then plug the extension into the timer that will be plugged into a wall electrical outlet. Set the time to come on for 3 hours on Monday morning and again on Thursday morning before needing the radios. These radios will work fine for 3 eight hour days before the next charging cycle you've set up. With the timer you will not overcharge the radios. That's why 1 1/2 years later I'm still using them.
