GREAT ENTRY LEVEL. Hint: LOOK AT OTHER INNOVA options before purchasing.
This product is sturdy. Let's say I'm a "fraction" over 300 pounds and this thing is strong. I never feel unsafe, like I have in some other makes/models I've tried. I'm 6' 4" and that works fine as well too. The fact it doesn't use a "strap" on the underside is a great feature. This allows you to properly "build up" how far you are leaning back. IMHO, you do NOT want to start out full inversion. Just like anything else, you want to build up to that. I started at the lowest setting for a week. Then I went to lowest setting for 3/4 of my time, then the second setting for 1/4 of my time. Then the next week I went to full time on second setting. Then the next week I went 3/4 of my time on second setting and 1/4 of my time on the third setting. Rinse and repeat. I have a herniation in my S1/L5. This does provide some relief. I'm fairly confident that this has kept me off pain killers by providing that little bit of relief. Do NOT get this if you have eye issues (glaucoma). If you have tinnitus, it will affect it (raise it). :( I have tinnitus in my left ear. I hate my tinnitus, but I hate the back pain worse. Please keep in mind that the height adjustment is an attempt to guesstimate as your center of gravity (aka, fulcrum point). I would actually start with a setting that is 1" higher you than your current height. If its hard to go back (aka, invert), then adjust to 1" less. And rinse and repeat until you find your setting that has your weight 50/50 on the pivot. It's better to be leg-side-heavy then to be head-side-heavy so you don't invert too quickly. If you're new to it, then DEFINITELY have a friend near by. If you flip too fast, you could hurt yourself. My only recommendation is to look at the other Innova models. The Innova product line are very strong. Hindsight, I may have gotten the one with heat or the one with slightly improved ankle support. In regards to ankle support, wear shoes, consider a towel. At the 2nd and 3rd setting, the ankle pressure isn't bad. At full inversion, it could be an issue. At the same time, I like having a entry-level-model that gets the job done. My only regret is that I didn't get one earlier. My only nit pick at the product is that there is not pin or strap or something that keeps the "legs" together when you fold it up. Not a big deal, just sayin'. Note, it does not fold up super flat. It collapses some. But that is a nit pick compared to the relief I've gotten from sciatica and back-of-the-butt-cattle-prod pain I've experience. Assembly. I did it in about 45-50 minutes. I had a 13 mm (or 1/2 inch) socket wrench and regular wrench. Do NOT OVERTIGHTEN, you will collapse the metal tubing. The only issue I hit by using the instructions was that you want to not tighten up the "feet" before you put in the one horizontal bar (the one with the rubber part that is about 2 feet above the feet). This will help the unit get to be square before you start tightening up screws. Its not hard, I did it alone, but its much easier with a second pair of hands from time to time.
