I have 4 large breed dogs and live on a farm. Needless to say, things get tracked into the house and ultimately get ground into my wife's high dollar rugs. Old Bissell died so I purchased this hot rod (from Lowes). All I can say is "woah!". This bad boy sucked a years worth of dirt and K9 derived hate from the fibrous soul of our living room rug in only two passes! This machine will tear through a tank of cleaning solution like a bear in a butcher shop but it's worth it. The upholstery tools are alright. Without rotating brushes, they only work as hard as you do. Power cord is longer than Monday, and is pretty heavy duty for a non-professional grade carpet appliance. The lift-away feature is kinda handy for maneuverability. But that's about it. The tools don't work unless you "lift-off". This is mildly irritating when you just need to do a small spot in the damn corner where the main machine won't reach and have to disassemble the lunar lander so you can scrub said corner for 17 seconds while your dog's are jumping all over you freaking out bc you're on the floor with a very loud sucky scary spray thing ... but I digress. Overall, this machine is quite impressive and I would recommend it highly, particularly for folks who live on farms with large breed dogs. K bye. P.s.
