I really like this Webcam. It has better quality than the built-in on my Mac. My Mac is an older Macbook Air 11 inch, but still works fine, only updated to Yosemite. It is plug and play, but I guess I thought it would auto-start the software. It does not. you must actually open QuickTime Player and click New Movie. When the control panel pops up, I had to click the drop down menu on the the right side of the record/stop button and switch in from built-in camera...to usb webcam. When I did, THEN you can tell how much better and clearer the picture is from the built-in camera. Sound is better than my sound quality on my built-in. I also have the option of using the built-in microphone and much choose which to use in the drop menu on the control panel. I would definitely recommend this camera for nice, inexpensive add-on.
