This thing saved my townhouse
I was skeptical for how well one of these would work. I moved into a townhouse that the previous tenants had smoked in. When I went to view it, they were painting and doing repairs, which masked the smell. I thought I was out of luck and was stuck for the remainder of my lease with my place absolutely reeking. I tried a few things like wiping surfaces with vinegar and putting baking soda on the carpet (these did help) but the smell was still pretty potent. When I ran the air conditioning, it smelled even worse because the ducts were just filled. I googled ways to get rid of smoke smells and came across ozone generators. There were mixed reviews and a lot of people saying they don't work. I am very glad I took the chance and bought this product. I immediately started noticing a difference. I would close up all the windows, turn on the fan for the furnace/AC, and run this thing next to it. I did this for about a month everyday that I went to work. I began rotating it into different rooms when I left during the day. The improvement was incremental but noticeable. After a few weeks, the smoke smell had largely disappeared. My townhouse is around 1200 sq ft and the 5000mg unit was adequate for me. They aren't kidding when they say remove all living matter. I accidentally forgot a succulent in my kitchen one day and it died immediately. Don't run it when you're home and let your apartment air out before you go inside. It leaves a residual smell that I can best describe as similar to bleach. You really should open your windows after you've used it and the ozone smell will be gone in a couple hours.
