Best reusable pads out of 4 brands
I tried 4 different brands of reusable pads. These are by far the best. I have washed them twice and they wash really well, surprisingly no stains. (I do rinse them nightly before throwing them into a wetbag for later washing.) They absorb so much better than disposable pads and several brands I bought from Etsy and Amazon. They don't smell either. I just bought a second five-pack of heavy flow pads and a 5 pack of panty liners. As someone with a heavy flow, I would average 8-10 disposable, heavy flow pads per day (always brand). With these heartfelt bamboo, I used two during the day on my heaviest day and one for overnight. No leaks, no smell, no wetness touching my skin. They didn't feel heavy or like I was sitting in clots of blood (I have large clots, quarter size and larger). Because I only bought a five pack to test them initially, I ended up washing them mid-cycle. I am hoping now that I have 10 heavy flow and 5 panty liners, that I should be set for my period without having to do a load of laundry. The brands I tried from Etsy used fleece and that did not absorb well and it stained ( even with rinsing). I'm a big Etsy shopper so I don't like slamming an individual that might still be experimenting with the fabrics. I also tried Sckoon and was unimpressed. I will use the Sckoon only on my lightest days ( and I bought one for heavy flow). I wish I had discovered heartfelt 20 years ago.
