Just received the ottoman. Shipping was fast and the product was more then I expected for the low price I paid. I was worried because some reviews mentioned that it sat too low and they would attach legs to raise the height. I could have easily done the same myself but didn't want the hassle of modifying it. When it arrived I was very very pleased with the height. It's the perfect height for resting your feet or using it as a small coffee table infront of your couch or love seat. I'm not sure why others said it was too short, maybe they have very tall couches lol. The material is nice, even though it's a faux leather. It looks and feels like a very soft lamb skin leather. The lid opens and closes securely and the hinges hold the lid in the open position nicely. The inside is lined with a black fabrick and also looks nice. It's roomy enough to store blankets or other things. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing an ottoman, coffee table, extra storage and even an extra place to sit. This does all of these things very very well and looks good while doing it. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 7/18/12 - Well, I've had this item for almost 8 months and it is still in brand new condition. I've had many gatherings and social events since then and it's been used as a table, extra chair and foot rest by myself, family and friends. I have no regrets and still highly recommend this product. 7/7/13 - It's going on almost two years now and I'm still very happy with the purchase. It still looks and feels like brand new.
