I spent a long time evaluating new vanity mirrors. I replaced my old tri-fold mirror that had 1x and 3x sides. I wanted something higher than 3x, as I don't see as clearly up close anymore. I debated between 5x and 7x, after ruling out 10x as overkill. Just got the mirror today, and am very pleased. It seems very well made, is at the perfect height for my vanity table, and has good light. The 7X magnification is great, and I can see everything very clearly. Update 8/24/16: I am still loving this mirror. It is very good quality, with no distortions. I am only using the 7x side, but can see my whole face clearly. Due to my farsightedness, my ideal mirror would be one with a 7x side and a 10x side. But this is still an excellent mirror. I evaluated many, many mirrors on Amazon, and read tons of reviews before settling on this one. Glad I did!
