UPDATE: The company reached out to me after reading my original "1 star" review (below) and offered to not only send me a new unit, but they even offered to preset the timers and test it for me!!!! WOW. It's rare to find such comprehensive and speedy customer service these days! Therefore, I've updated my review from "1" star to "4". ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this as a “Today’s Deal” back in August to use in an outlet in my enclosed garage for my outdoor Christmas lights this year. For once, I was going to be ahead of the game!! NOT SO. First of all, I waited until December to test it (stupid me) and discovered there were no instructions included in the box. As an older (and rather technically challenged widow) this was NOT a pleasant find. Although a kind soul had listed diections online, they were still difficult for me to follow. Which meant it was taking me a few tries to program the timer. But, after pressing the reset button for only the fifth time, the button BROKE!! It stayed in its “down” position rendering the device utterly useless! And I certainly wasn’t using brute force on it either. Arrrrgggh!!!! So, I had to wait another week (due to my work schedule) before I could set up my outdoor decorations. In the meantime, I ordered a simpler timer from the same company and that one worked great. However, I’m REALLY upset that I wasted money on this more complicated version that apparently wasn’t as well-made. Obviously, the window for its return had long passed so this was a total waste of money (and time) for me. Boo hiss!!! But, lesson learned - always test a product as soon as it arrives.
