Love after trial/error - see tips below
After some trial and error, I’m pretty happy with this. I finally figured out how to get them to peel easy (basically falls off) and they always come out cooked perfectly. Here are some problems/solutions I ran across: Problem: Egg leaking during cooking Solution: Poke the hole just enough to hear a crack (not too hard) in the WIDER end of the egg and place them with the hole up. I was poking the narrow end. Problem: water/egg was burning into hot plate Solution: set timer and be sure to get them out as soon as the light turns off. Also if you have burnt on brown spots on plate, clean it with Cream of Tartar with a little water and it will come off easily. Also make sure your egg isn’t leaking. Problem: eggs aren’t peeling easy Solution: 1) make sure you are poking hole in wide end of egg. 2) put eggs in ice water in a large glass container with lid right after cooking. 3) shake glass container with water and eggs vigorously cracking eggs on all sides. This allows the water to seep between the shell and egg. 4) Peel. Peels should practically fall off.
