MUST ENABLE hardware offloading for ER-X gigabit speed. 557 people clicked "helpful" a thoughtful, but misguided review. After installing this little switch and get into the 192.168.1.1 interface, hit CLI (command line interface). Type this: configure set system offload hwnat enable set system offload ipsec enable commit ; save -- Bam now you have Gigabit ER-X router. I almost returned mine based on the other review here, but after digging that review didn't know the hardware offloading option.. is off by default. Most people don't need QoS and have a bunch of VOIP phones, etc at home. So if you don't need QoS, use the command above and enable gigabit speed on your ER-X. Apparently this has caught more than one tech savvy reviewer. Glad I dig further and didn't return this guy for the hotter running 8-port Unifi switch at 2-3x the price.
