This really does work if you have a Candida overgrowth, just make sure to expect results and not miracles.
I have felt a little "off" for a very long time, and after much research thought that candida overgrowth might be the culprit, and wanted to try a Candida Cleanse that would work, but not totally wreak havoc on my system.
Here's a list of some of the major symptoms I've been experiencing for many years:
* CONSTANT tummy troubles, I'm always rumbling and running to the bathroom
* I start to get a little bloaty after just a few bites of food, and before I'm halfway through I'm super full, pregnant-belly looking bloaty uncomfortable. Then once it goes down, I feel famished, like I didn't eat at all.
* I get VERY sniffly from beer. The wheatier the beer, the worse it is. I love beer, especially wheat beer, but the sniffles and bloat really make having a drink with friends not so fun.
* I've had tinea versicolor and every year or so go to the doctor to get a prescription for it. The spots go away for a little while, but always come back.
* I CRAVE bread, like I'll think about it and start salivating. It's bad.
* Mental fog. I very often will lose my train of thought and focus. When I tell a story, I'll get so sidetracked that I often forget the original story.
* Memory troubles- I used to be able to remember everything, and now I HAVE to write it down. Even my vocabulary has been suffering.
* Fatigue. It's more than just loving to sleep, it seems that no matter how much sleep I get, I'm never refreshed. I always feel "drained" and exhausted, both physically and mentally.
I've been taking ginko, and some other supplements to help enhance my mental clarity and combat the other GI issues. They seem to kind of work, with the mental stuff (more that I notice I'm "foggier" the days I forget my vitamins) but not so much with the feeling drained, spots, and sniffles. However, last year I got bit by a dog and was on some crazy antibiotics that really zonked my system. Even with taking probiotics, eating yogurt, etc I was still a mess. I couldn't think straight, couldn't get to sleep, but when I did I coudn't wake up, EVERYTHING I ate was troublesome, etc. Then it hit me- years ago I was on antibiotics repeatedly for almost a year straight. That's when this stuff really started happening. Hence the research, and the suspecting candida overgrowth, and subsequently trying the Candida Cleanse.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but the Candida Cleanse arrived quickly and I tried it that night, with some reservations from reading other reviews. The capsules are pretty big. I can swallow the two at once, but someone who doesn't do so well with pills probably won't be able to swallow them well. They're maybe 7/8" long by 3/8" wide- I think it's a 000 size if you want to look it up. They are filled with a green powder and smell herbsy and woodsy.
Well, I've been taking the Candida Cleanse for about 3 weeks now, and I have to say, I definitely notice a difference. I haven't been pooping out worms or anything that drastic, but I just feel... better. I can eat a meal without becoming embarrassingly bloaty. I can now drink a beer without sounding like someone in a Sudafed commercial. I'm able to focus on what I'm doing, and when I do get distracted, I can remember what I was doing before the distraction. My tinea spots have stopped spreading and the darker ones are sloooowly starting to fade. I take it in the evening and the first two days I was a little gurgly in the morning, but the rest of the day was ok. Some foods still get to me, I still get sniffly if I have several beers, and I'm not as sharp as I was years ago. Oh, and I still love bread. But I feel rested enough that I can somewhat function in the morning now, and don't feel like passing out halfway through the day. The differences aren't miracles, but they absolutely add up to something.
If you think you're suffering from Candida overgrowth, or if your gut is just all torn up from antibiotics, then definitely try the Candida Cleanse. Don't expect miracles, and understand that you're not going to take it before bed and wake up a different peson. But, over time it will help, and it will make a difference in how you feel both mentally and physically, if it is the Candida that is causing your grief
