I just had to write this review to help any parents out there that might be in the same positon I was in. I know what it's like desperately reading reviews trying to find the right formula for your little one -- hopefully my review will be helpful to someone. This is actually my first time reviewing a product -- that's how satisfied I am with my purchase and how thankful I am! We started on Similac Advanced and realized she was having issues so that's when we started trying formulas that were made specifically for excessive gas and fussiness..first was Enfamil Gentlease -- next was Similac Sensitive while using Colic Calm. On all of them she had horrible gas and would rarely burp after feedings! It was heartbreaking watching her cry, turning red & stiffening in pain. She would also go through on and off crying fits for a whole day a couple times a week from around 6 am through 4 pm which I assume is colic. It was so exhausting! When I started Colic Calm, it did make a difference but I didn't like having to feed my baby drops two times a day. It didn't feel right. I also did not like how the chamomille would make her tired. I would have to wait for gas pains or crying fits to begin so I can give her a dose and then she'd fall asleep - It felt like her symptoms were just being covered up with sleep. So, I started to do some research again..I read many, many reviews and sites looking for another formula that would work and we could FINALLY stick to. I AM SOOOO THANKFUL I came across Geber Good Start Soothe!! The first thing I noticed was that the foam would settle right away after shaking the bottle unlike the previous formulas..then I noticed a change within my baby right after the first bottle! She was burping after her feedings!! She was passing gas easily -- no pain or crying!! She rarely hiccups as opposed to hiccuping for a half an hour after every feeding!! She has not needed any drops!! No more colic -- she is only crying when she is hungry!! This formula also fills her up nicely..she is going 4 hours without eating instead of 2 -- so I am getting better sleep!! I am so happy!! It's an amazing feeling seeing my baby be playful instead of in pain! ** I am not sure if this is related..but while my daughter was on Similac Sensitive, she ended up with TERRIBLE baby acne on her face, chest and back. She also had dry, peeling skin on her face and ears. Within the first couple of days on Gerber GS Soothe, everything started to clear up and was completely gone in a few days. Maybe it's just a coincidence and it would of came and went regardless..I don't know..but I just thought I should mention it. ** Thank you Gerber for this formula! Being a new mommy going through that -- I was so stressed out and exhausted -- I was feeling like a failure seeing my daughter crying all the time, wondering if I was doing something wrong or thinking that maybe I just did not have maternal instincts and couldn't soothe my own baby -- this formula made it possible for my husband and I to just enjoy our baby girl and the experience of being new parents instead of spending our days frantically trying to figure out what's bothering her this time..and what can we do to help her..trying to find new ways to get her to stop crying and screaming -- on top of all that..WE were constantly bickering back and forth because we were nervous and on edge because we felt so lost, hopeless & helpless seeing her in the condition she was in. This was a lifesaver! A miracle! I really hope this formula works for someone else's baby the way it worked for us -- No baby or parents should have to go through that. Good luck!
