This is a great set for assessments if you are in nurse practitioner, PA, or medical school ! Not going through the hassle of switching from otoscope to ophthalmoscope head is a dream! As, I broke another brand bc I turned the head the wrong direction when switching — oops. I did have trouble inserting one AA battery but bought a different brand of battery and it fit just fine! I was able to view the tympanic membrane of all members of my family with ease and was impressed with the white light cast for illumination. I’ve used other otoscopes that cast a yellow light and didn’t appreciate the visual it created- Having extra otoscope tips is fabulous! Some brands only provide you with two and they are one size. Having a 2.4 mm and 4 mm tip allowed for an effective exam. Also thankful for the replacement bulbs. The ophthalmoscope is super easy to use - Can’t go wrong with this set! Functional and priced right for money crunched students! I recommend this product for all!
