So, here's the thing about this bed. It looks pretty cute, it's pretty easy to assemble, it's pretty sturdy, and it's pretty cheap, but how long it will last will depend heavily on what kind of child you have. The board situated directly under the mattress has snapped in half on mine after owning it for a period of about three to four months, which then caused one of the drawers to disassemble. It's not looking so cute anymore. Now, I've got to find something to replace that board with (I might try a... board). But, I'm still going to give this four stars because the bed, I don't believe, would have done that if your kid was using it. Mine is just a tornado of destruction and is rarely seen not being in Hulk-mode. Is your kid in Hulk-mode? Is he a really big fan of jumping on things and not so much a fan of stopping when you tell him to? You might want to pass, or buy it but go ahead and reinforce it immediately.
