Brighter and More Vibrant Skin
I purchased DMAE from this company for a DIY skin care project and was able to choose another product of my choice from their line for review purposes. I had no idea that I would receive this perk when I made my purchase, but was quite pleased, as you can imagine. HA was on Want List, so I chose it. In all honesty, I was so pleased with the quality of the DMAE that I would gladly have paid for this purchase.
I wanted to make a serum to use use both night and day. I did my due diligence and researched Google, YouTube and Pinterest before choosing a recipe. My first sample batch was a fail, because I either did not add enough water (I chose Orange Blossom to tszuj it up a bit) or added too much product. The batch turned out to be more of a thick gel, rather than a serum. I tried applying it in that form and it was not bad at first. However, it started to sort of 'roll up' in some areas. It was evident that the product was too thick. No problem. I kept adding one tablespoon of the Orange Blossom water and placing it in the fridge for 20 minutes or so and stirring. The final perfect recipe for me is 4 tablespoons of COLD water and 1/4 teaspoon of HA powder. Since I planned to keep it in the fridge to extend the life of the product anyway, I did so. In the morning I had an absolute perfect serum. On the upside, my original failed batch proved to me that this truly was a miracle hydration product that would attract moisture to my skin.
Application - I purchased a very inexpensive pump container (photo below). One pump dispenses the exact amount of product that I need. After washing my face and using toner, I apply one pump to my face. It is immediately absorbed and leaves zero residue of any sort. You would be fine to wear this alone on a no makeup day and it would not be detected. There is no smell and the product itself is totally clear.
Shelf Life - I do not add preservatives to my DIY products, as that would defeat part of the purpose of making my own. I will use vitamin E as a natural preservative to many products, but did not want to add it it to this one. I already use it in my primer and facial setting and refresher sprays. I don't want to look like an oil slick by day's end. This recipe made a small batch, but I still think this will be too much product for two week's use. I may cut the recipe in half next time.
Packaging - The packaging is well sealed and its quality assures me that the product itself is of high quality and has not been exposed in packing or shipping. It is clearly labels with supplement facts, warnings, measurements, ingredients, expiration and manufactured dates, storage suggestion and lot number in case of a recall.
I really can't think of anything more that I could require or want from a product. This 10 gram (0.35 ounce) packet will last me a very long time. The expiration date is a year away. I may have to incorporate it into my eye creams in order to not waste any due to the expiration date. That is a good problem to have. Who does not want more moisture in their eye area. This is a definite annual repeat purchase.
The photo below is untouched and makeup free after a week of twice daily use. As a caveat, I am 57. This should be considered before making any snap judgements about whether my skin looks radiant or healthy in general.
UPDATE - I was so pleased with the results of my skin that I started using this in conjunction with DMAE in my under eye and on the outer corners, with the intent of bringing additional moisture to this area. The third photo below is after three weeks of using this product twice a day.

I am down to my last small batch and am online to purchase my first refill, as I tried going three days without it and was displeased. My 5 star rating remains true.
Recipe and Tip: Always use very cold water to make (I use refrigerated distilled water that I have previously added a couple of drops of Esential Orange Oil to). A wide mouth flatter container is preferred, ergo an empty eye cream jar. I say this because I find the product mixes much easier if you evenly sprinkle the powder over the entire surface of the cold water. Also, do NOT stir until the product has had a chance to mix on its own in the fridge. I leave mine in the fridge over night and continue to store it in this way. I found stirring when initially mixed the two ingredients together caused the product to get lumpy on some areas. I used a chop stick to stir/beat the lumps out. It is a royal pain, but a great arm work out. **Add water to container first.
2 tablespoons of COLD water + 1/4 teaspoon of H/A powder. You can double for more product, but I prefer smaller batches to maintain freshness and efficacy. Note, I also add my Vitamin C serum and a couple drops of Rosehip oil to a small amount of this mixture into the palm of my hand, mix with my finger and then apply. If you are using alone, you may prefer more or less water. This works perfect for me and does not affect my makeup application, including foundation. If it sort of rolls up on your skin, you need to add more water and place in the fridge for a bit before re-stirring. **Photo #4 was taken May 21, 2017, after 13 months of daily night time use.
