Good notes
Update:
After 10 months of being in the body, which is the church, of Christ. I still use this to refer to when studying about the historical context of the epistles and gospels. After heavily studying the the new testament and referring back to this study bible--while it's still the best one out there amongst the KJVs--there are some doctrinal errors (ie. The belief that baptism isn't essential), and lacks full explanation on certain things. It leaves a topic in a grey area which results in a new convert confused and wondering. However, overall this study bible still receives five stars for excellent quality, beautiful pages, historical accuracy and backgrounds, pretty decent commentaries, the maps, etc. But, I wouldn't heavily rely on the commentaries anymore and follow it 100% without first asking questions and double checking to make sure they're correct.
Acts 17:11 "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Grace and peace unto my fellow brothers and sister in Christ!
I became recently baptized in August 2015, previously an unbeliever. However, a woman presented the Word of God in a rightfully divided way (2 Timothy 2:15), opening my eyes and heart to our Lord Christ Jesus. Since that day I've been studying the Word of God daily, wanting to grow spiritually to start doing the will of God and share my testimony with others.
Reading the bible as a newborn Christian is not easy for me and cannot be taken at face value. One must look at and understand the context and break down the words given because, as it was written in three different languages (Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek), the words have a different meaning than what one would normally think in modern-day society.
For example, in the Word of God the word "love" has about four different meanings and, if it used incorrectly, it can lead to confusion. But do not be dismayed, this study bible breaks down the scriptures providing references, commentaries and definition of some words. This study bible is a gem, and helps to truly understand the written word for godly edification and helps me to know sound doctrine when preached.
What this bible has:
Doctrinal footnotes
An introduction on how to use the bible and how to study it
Short biographies of the people introduced
Information on the archaeological sites, cities and region
Christ's teachings in red
An introduction to each book providing the authorship, short background, and the purpose of it.
Maps (and color maps at the back of the book)
and SO much more.
The overall presentation is simply breathtaking. The font is very easy to read, printed on the creamy white pages. The pages are thin and makes this 1000+ paged book very easy to handle.
I HIGHLY recommend this, this has been truly helping me grow spiritually and be more Christ-like.
