If you think floss removes food particles from your teeth, wait until you use this product! I have $90K out-of-pocket dental work in my mouth. Bridges, implants and crowns. (60 yrs of living) . My dentist suggested to protect all the dental work that I have to do something other than floss and brush. The hygienist and dentist suggested I buy this specific brand & this specific model in order to clean my teeth as thoroughly as possible. They told me not to buy the model w/ the toothbrush attached because they thought this was the best of all product waterpik ovvers. I was surprised at the amount of food that came out of my teeth when using this waterpik for the 1st time. They warned me that it may be a little messy the first time. The key is to put the "wand" in you mouth before turning the machine on so you don't get sprayed. Just because I paid tens of thousands of dollars for implants does not mean they will last! Surprise to me! You better believe I will do everything I can to product my investment so I don't have to have them replaced.
