More than what I expected for 40 bucks and I love it!
I guess I caught a sale. I got this for $30 and because I saw some reviews about the motor crapping out after a few uses, I picked up a SquareTrade warranty for $8. I figured for 40 bucks, I could see if the wife and I could get into this and we have. We've been juicing every day since we got this on 4/14/12. So far, we've juiced kale, yams, carrots, apples, oranges, grapefuits, lemons, celery, grapes, strawberries, kiwi, and pears. I have noticed that the carrots and yams make this thing work a little harder as I could get a hint of motor smell during the process. I just slice them up smaller and ease them in.
As far as clean-up goes, this thing is pretty easy. Everything is top rack safe, but rinses off easily right after use. The item that takes the longest is the strainer. With a steady stream of water, a small toothbrush, and your own method, you can get it clean in about 3 minutes. For lazy people like me, that's an eternity but for some reason, I don't mind doing it. A couple of strawberry seeds made their way into the teeth of the blades, but they weren't too difficult to remove. I needed a pin to get at one once, however. From what I have read of other juicers, clean-up is not as "easy" as it is on this one. So, I'm not in a hurry to upgrade just yet. We're pretty happy with this little guy so far.
If you are curious about juicing and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is the guy to get. If you're worried about it going out on you, get the warranty.
