I bought the Midland er-210 weather radio in April, and needed to use it when my power went out after Hurricane Irma. I have no complaints. Prior to the storm, I fully charged the er-210 using the USB cable, so it would be ready to go if I needed it. Since it was already charged before the storm made landfall, it lasted the whole time I needed it without requiring a recharge. It worked perfectly for listening to local AM and FM radio as well as NOAA weather radio. I tried the weather alert mode, which sounds an alarm when severe weather is imminent, and it also worked as expected. The built-in flashlight came in handy several times, as did the ability to charge up my smartphone. This radio's reception, sound quality, volume, and battery life are all more than adequate in an emergency. Note: this radio ships with the battery disconnected. To start using it, you will need to open the battery compartment and connect it first.
