This is a really good security camera but setting up wireless had me tearing my hair out until I figured out how simple it was. :) The setup is very clever and easy. You just plug in the camera, and scan the barcode on the camera with the app. Once the camera goes through its power on cycle up it will emit a tone. All you have to do is MAKE SURE THE SOUND IS TURNED UP ON YOUR PHONE AND SET THE PHONE NEXT TO THE CAMERA. The phone/app will then sound a computer encoded signal which the camera uses to pair them. I had sound muted on my phone, and didn't imagine the devices would pair through audio, maybe that's obvious but wasn't to me. Unless I missed it this method is not documented in the manual or troubleshooting. After this, it worked like a charm! Very clear hi-res picture, lots of features. But I was about to send it back before I discovered "the obvious." The only other glitch was that the camera requires 2.4ghz but in my setup it only wanted to connect to the 5ghz signal on my dual band router. The solution was to shut off the 5ghz signal on the router during setup. (Just turned it back on after and it works fine.)
