Great for me, but beware there are multiple models being reviewed
This is my first time buying sleeping earbuds so I don’t have anything to compare them to, but I think the idea is great. Here’s what I like about the idea: 1) They fit deep in the ear so I can lay on my side, listen to books, fall asleep, and mostly not feel them. 2) They block out noise like earbuds. 3) Sometimes I even put them back in in the morning if the house is noisy and I want to sleep longer. Criticism... 1) While they stay inside my ears fairly well, I do find myself pressing them back in my ear on occasion. But everyone's ears are different, so YMMV. Beware of different models in reviews... I was reading the negative reviews and a common complaint was that the company changed models to something with a bigger stem. So now they stick out farther and are not as comfortable for some people. This is important to know because some of the positive reviews will be reviewing a different earplug than what you will receive! It sounds like the change was made between 2017 and 2018. Personally, I don't think this newer model is any more compact than any run-of-the-mill earbud, and I do feel the bud sometimes, so I think it would be nice if the company could sell the older version. I emailed the company about this issue and this is what they said: "Thank you for your email, yes, you are right, we have a earlier version of the black earphone, actually these two version earphone are mostly the same, the only little difference is that the old version earphone size is a little smaller than the new version, we made a little change for the size, because we received many feedback that the size is too small for most of customer, so our engineer changed to a little larger size for the black earphone to meet most of customers' needs, we feel so sorry for the inconvenience caused to you, and as i checked, now we do not have stock of the earlier version, we just sell the new version now. many thanks for your understanding." So it sounds like they had an older model with a smaller size, but they increased the size because of customer feedback, and the older model isn't in production any more. If your specifically looking for something small, you could try these ATECH Sleeping Earbuds, they look pretty small. I'm going to buy them and try them out. https://www.amazon.com/ATECH-Flexible-Sleeping-Microphone-Relaxation/dp/B07956MHN6/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_3?keywords=ATECH+-+Sleeping+Earbuds&qid=1555611440&s=gateway&sr=8-3-fkmrnull UPDATE I received the ATECH buds so here’s my comparison of MAXROCK vs ATECH: Size: the ATECH buds are clearly smaller, no question. I attached a photo so you can see the difference. Comfort/fit: Both are very comfortable for me. Both stay in my ear just as well. Reliability: From reading the negative reviews on both sides, it sounds like both products have had a lot of issues. Sound quality: If listening to music, I have to give this to ATECH. The base is lacking in the MAXROCKs. But when I’m listening to audiobooks I don’t hear a difference. Personal choice: They both work well for my needs. I currently use the MAXROCKs because its what I was already using. I’ll have the ATECHs as a backup if they break.
