Love these shelves! Very pleased with this purchase. I bought two, and guilted the hubs into putting them together. The task proceeded quickly with the help of his drill. The shelves are incredibly sturdy and look far better than I ever anticipated at this price point. I was a little worried at first about practicality of the open sides and back, but I think they look more attractive than the alternative. I live in a NYC apartment and didn’t feel comfortable mounting these cases to the wall. And I’ve got enough weight on them that they feel pretty firm. If I had children, however, or were positioning these shelves on carpet, bracing these cases to the wall would be a must.
