We got this for my daughter for Christmas and, in retrospect, I actually regret not getting everyone in the family one (including my husband and me). None of us have any musical ability...yet, but this thing is super fun to play. I gave it five stars for durability, even though we just got it so I can't be totally sure, because it has survived some fights over it between my son and daughter and has come out completely unscathed.
