I waited to review this until I gave it plenty of use. I figured it would burn out eventually. I have had this thing heated for probably a couple hundred hours now, building with foam board. I leave it plugged in for multiple hours building foam board RC airplanes, sometimes all day. I've even forgotten and left it plugged in for 24 hours. I'm giving it 5 stars because it has met all expectations and then some. It gets the glue blistering hot but doesn't burn it which allows a small amount of working time to position parts before the glue sets up. DON'T GET IT ON YOUR FINGERS! It WILL blister you! It will melt some foam insulation or some styrofoam but works well with foam board. It also doesn't drip like some of those little cheap things, and it feeds the glue smoothly I figured by now I'd be buying another glue gun considering the hours of use. It just keeps going & I hope it continues going. The only thing I don't like is the largish plastic nozzle. But I finally discovered with a bit of force it will pull off exposing the narrower and more precise metal nozzle underneath. This is NOT your little craft store glue gun. Though I have only used it for foam board, and so cannot vouch for other uses, I can say this is for serious hobbyists, crafters, etc. I'll add I don't like the glue sticks that come with it but the 12" Arrow brand, general purpose sticks available at Lowe's or Home Depot work great.
